Isaiah 40:31

Tuesday, July 28th, 2015

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Everyone gets tired-tired of challenges that bring pain. Suffering passes our way no matter where we are at. But the Lord is merciful and will strengthen all those that remain on the paths where He leads. Waiting for the Lord’s direction is packed with benefits.

Psalm 150

Sunday, April 6th, 2014

Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.

John 3:16

Sunday, April 6th, 2014

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Isaiah 55: 6-9

Friday, April 4th, 2014

Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Accept His mercy. Follow where God leads, hear what God speaks, agree with what God approves. He is above all.

Lamentations 3:22-26

Friday, April 4th, 2014

It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.

Jesus died for the sins of the whole world. For all who sincerely turn to Him there is a rescue because they are precious to Him. They want to follow the path He leads them on and not wander away no matter what is ahead.

Psalm 19:14

Thursday, December 12th, 2013

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

Yes. To say what pleases God to control the tongue is needful. And to align the heart on the best path how awesome! Let us not sway from putting ourselves through the paces gladly.

James 3:14-18

Thursday, November 28th, 2013

But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

There is one direction that goes forward-that which progresses and does not stand still or go backwards. There is one direction that goes up not down-that which reaches for higher thoughts and more steady existence. Arguing, picking up habits that leave one hollow, rigidity leaning toward controversies that disrespect independent thoughts which are the fabric of a life-all of this hurts. God is not wanting to be mad at people all the time but He draws people to His way of thinking. He has demands, yes, since He is the supreme ruler. But so does a loving parent draw their child with firmness as well as with love.

Hebrews 12:14,15

Thursday, December 17th, 2009

Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled.

Why murmur why complain? God is merciful having sent Jesus His only son to help us. Jesus is expertly qualified to rescue, to direct, to address our needs more than we ourselves can comprehend. Bitterness drags down and can hurt the complainer more than the one who is complained about.

While life passes by, the bitter state is at a standstill accomplishing less, sleeping less, marking time-yes marching in place-or in circular motion. Be free of all this, let Jesus renew the mind-and rejoice!

It’s easy, He’s waiting for you to receive Him. In your quiet time ponder the goodness of God. Waste time no more but get to the best destination. Shake off that dusty bitter cloak and walk right over to joy-allow Jesus to teach you. Thereby you can identify peace and a clean heart.

Psalm 90:1,2,12

Monday, July 21st, 2008

Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations. 90:2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

What is awesome in this life?  What is  magnificent?  Can we ponder greatness in any real sense?  Suppose we were to go far away, be alone, look within ourselves.  What would we think about?  We are not self sufficient for peace or answers at all.  The time is coming when deep thought about important things should occur.  The time is coming when what is right as well as what is needful should be considered.  How much time is there before we all grow old and wither and fade out?  The mysteries of life need not be mysteries always. Seeking for the truth and real answers is doable so do so.  Why let  circumstances cave in our forward motion?  I submit to you that it is important and crucial to look at the awesome wonder of the God who created all.  His righteousness is real and exists forever.

We are human we are tiny.  His thoughts are higher than our thoughts (see ).

Consider what is good, consider finding what God’s will is.  Examine the facts about His son, Jesus Christ.  Truth exists, bring it close for help.

Mark 4:39

Monday, July 21st, 2008

And He arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still.  And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

Commentary :

Jesus was sleeping peacefully in a boat while a storm swirled all around as His disciples panicked frantically worried.  Then He woke up and gently eased the situation.

Do we like the disciples frequently worry needlessly or have a whole range of unproductive feelings?  While allowing the mind to dwell on a variety of excuses, situations and plans which are not God’s will, a person can be drawn further and further away from the truth.  If instead our dwelling place remains secure in faith in God, then the end result of anything will be positive.

Storms of fear, anger, bitterness, despair, any sin can rage in the heart but don’t have to.

Let us remind ourselves of what God has to offer and compare the advantages He can give to the alternatives of being led down another path fueled by a self destructive force.  The chaotic force that tries to draw people away from truth will make lies appear right by using seemingly invisible blinders and shackles.  But if one looks hard enough and listens to God trying to reason with a person to get them to change () the bound condition is very evident.  Storms come and storms go, no problem is a static condition, but a person often allows one problem or misguided action to be replaced with another similar one.  However by contrast the peace of God is forever.
